Varsity Cross Country Runners & Parents:
We will run first on Friday (October 9th) at TCHS. Then everyone can go home &
shower & change clothes before we leave.
The bus will leave 8th St around 5:45 pm on Friday to travel to Lake City, Fla.
We
will spend the night at Country Inn & Suites in Lake City. The phone number is
386-754-5944. We will eat dinner on the way somewhere. Cross Country will pay
for your dinner Friday night & lunch on Sat & part of the hotel & canoeing.
Runners need to bring $30 to help pay for the hotel & part of canoeing. We
need your money before Friday.
On Saturday we will be canoeing down the Santa Fe River. We will put in at
Santa Fe Canoe Outpost around 10:00 am & they will pick us up down river
around 5:00 pm. The river is nice to swim in & there are springs along the way to
swim in also. This should be a fun, team bonding time. It is very safe & they
have to wear life preservers in the canoes. We will not get back to Tifton until
7:30 or 8:00 pm.

Also, we are not running at Thomasville on Oct 17. Instead, we will run at
Westover in Albany on Thurs Oct 15 at 5:30pm for the girls & guys 6:10.
We also will run another week day meet on Oct 22 in Macon. Guys will run at
4:30pm & girls at 5:05 pm. It will be at Westside High School. Directions closer
to time.
Region will be on Oct 29 at The Children’s Home in Macon. JV will run at 3:30pm
& varsity (top 7) at 4:00pm.
